Medical disclaimer

StutterFlow is a practice tool and educational resource, not medical advice.

Updated 2026-06-03

In short: StutterFlow is a practice tool, not a substitute for professional speech-language therapy or medical advice. If stuttering significantly affects your life, please work with a qualified speech-language pathologist.

Educational, not medical advice

The content on this site is educational and source-backed. It describes general information about stuttering, delayed auditory feedback and practice techniques. It is not personalised medical advice and does not establish any clinician relationship.

Not a medical device

StutterFlow is a practice and educational tool. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.

Work with a professional

For assessment and an individual plan, work with a qualified speech-language pathologist (SLP). Stuttering varies a lot between people, and what helps one person may not suit another.

What to expect from DAF

Response to delayed auditory feedback varies between individuals. Any in-the-moment effect while wearing headphones is not the same as long-term carryover, and results should be judged over time, ideally with a clinician’s input.

When to seek medical care

If speech changes appear suddenly, follow a head injury, or come with other neurological symptoms (such as weakness, facial drooping or trouble understanding speech), seek prompt medical attention rather than relying on a practice tool.

Companion app
