How StutterFlow handles data: practice audio stays on your device.

Updated 2026-06-03

In short: StutterFlow processes practice audio locally on your device through Apple’s AVAudioEngine. There are no recordings, no uploads and no account. The only data that can leave your device is an App Store purchase receipt if you choose to upgrade.

Who we are

StutterFlow operates this website (stutterflow.com) and the StutterFlow app for iPhone. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@stutterflow.com.

Because the app keeps practice data on your device and the website does not run advertising or analytics trackers, we hold very little personal data about you.

What the app processes

Delayed auditory feedback (DAF) works by playing your own voice back with a short delay. The app captures microphone audio and plays it back live through Apple’s AVAudioEngine. This audio is processed in real time on your device only.

The app does not record, store or upload your voice, and it does not require an account, sign-in or profile. Practice settings and streaks are stored locally on the device.

Data that can leave your device

StutterFlow is free to use. An optional pro tier unlocks extended practice content. If you buy it, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see or receive your payment-card details.

To unlock paid features, the app reads an App Store purchase receipt issued by Apple. Apple may also collect its own purchase, diagnostic and analytics data under Apple’s own privacy policy, which is outside our control.

This website

stutterflow.com is an educational content site. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies and we do not run third-party analytics on it.

Our hosting and content-delivery providers may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security, abuse prevention and reliability. These logs are not used to build a profile of you.

Children

StutterFlow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will address it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA — including access, correction and deletion. Because the app holds no account and the site stores no profile, there is usually little personal data for us to act on, but we will respond to any verified request.

To exercise a right or ask a question, email support@stutterflow.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted here.
